Von Klaus von RaussendorffEndlich haben es Politiker mehrerer Länder geschafft, sich zusammenzuschließen, um eine »neue, wirklich unabhängige Untersuchung zur Feststellung, was an 9/11 geschah« zu fordern. In einer Petition rufen zwölf Politiker aus sieben Ländern US-Präsident Barack Obama auf, eine solche Überprüfung zu autorisieren. Die bisherigen Untersuchungen seien von Personen durchgeführt worden, »die mit der Bush/Cheney-Regierung eng verbunden oder sogar bei ihr beschäftigt waren.« Deren Ergebnisse aber wichen in radikaler Weise von Erkenntnissen ab, zu denen unabhängige Forscher der verschiedenen Fachrichtungen gelangt sind. Diese Forschergruppen – darunter solche der Architekten und Ingenieure, Feuerwehrleute, Juristen, Piloten, religiösen Führer, Gelehrten, Veteranen und Angehörigen medizinischer Berufe – hätten seit langem eine neue Untersuchung gefordert. Es sei endlich an der Zeit, daß Politiker diese Forderung beherzigen, heißt es im Schreiben an Obama.
Zweifel an der offiziellen Version vom Einsturz der Türme des World Trade Center am 9.11.2001 haben in den letzten Jahren immer mehr Menschen befallen. Ein Crash der Legende von Osama und den 19 Räubern hätte unabsehbare Folgen. Man darf gespannt sein, welcher deutsche Bundestagsabgeordnete es wagt, sich der Gruppe der »Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth« (pl911truth.com) anzuschließen. Bisher hat aus Deutschland der ehemalige Staatssekretär im Verteidigungsministerium, Andreas von Bülow, den Appell unterzeichnet. In Großbritannien hat sich der frühere Umweltminister Michael Meacher angeschlossen, in den USA fünf Politiker, darunter der ehemalige Gouverneur von Minnesota, Jesse Ventura, und das frühere US-Kongreßmitglied Dan Hamburg. Hinzu kommen mit den Italienern Giulietto Chiesa und Gianni Vattimo sowie Paul Lannoye aus Belgien drei aktive bzw. frühere EU-Abgeordnete.

WHEREAS the Bush-Cheney administration’s public interpretation of the 9/11 attacks has had radical, largely negative, consequences for the United States of America and the world as a whole; and
WHEREAS the official investigations of these attacks that have been carried out thus far were led by individuals closely aligned with, or even employed by, the Bush-Cheney administration; and
WHEREAS the conclusions of these investigations differ radically from those that have been reached by independent researchers with various kinds of professional expertise; and
WHEREAS organizations of such researchers—including Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, Lawyers for 9/11 Truth, Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Religious Leaders for 9/11 Truth, Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice, and Veterans for 9/11 Truth—have called for a new, truly independent, investigation; and
WHEREAS we believe it is long past time for political leaders to heed these calls;
THEREFORE we, the undersigned members of Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth, ask President Barack Obama to authorize a new, truly independent, investigation to determine what happened on 9/11.
